Dobbeltgjenger is an eclectic and, one could also say, mischievous rock band from Bergen, Norway, with a definite edge. The band’s lyrics tell tales of deep-rooted neuroticism accompanied by contagious grooves, a futuristic guitar sound and soulful rock vocals. Dobbeltgjenger consists of members from Major Parkinson, Ossicles, Depresno and 9 Grader Nord.
The band draws their diverse influences from both the past and the present: Queens of The Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin, Joy Division, Jeff Buckley and ZZ-Top to name a few.
Limbohead, the band's second album will be released in the Spring of 2018. It is is a colorful depiction of an anxious reality, where doors are locked in order to shut out the dangerous conspiracies of the world. Paranoid themes are depicted through a varied and comprehensive rock sound and a vocal that alternates between vulnerable falsettos, punkish screams and rhythmic narratives. Limbohead, showcases a more focused band than on the debut, When I’ve Gone to Space, but the trademark musical diversity and catchy groove is still apparent.
Dobbeltgjenger is here to bring back the groove and fun to the serious and eclectic rock style. Let’s just call it futuristic retro rock.

PHANTOM WINTER "Into Dark Science":
On Into Dark Science Phantom Winter return with more brute force than ever. After CVLT (2015) and Sundown Pleasures (2016) they now follow up. With their third full-length Phantom Winter found a new language to express extreme heavyness where other bands from the same genre already resigned. They channel depression, anger and severity on an authentic manner that goes it`s own way regarding vehemence.
The record contains six songs about your inner monsters, retaliating ogres and the omnipresence of darkness that we all carry within us. “It is a journey through the dark worlds of authors Sylvia Plath and Mary Shelley. Into Dark Science is a way to accept and channel my inner demons to create something worthwhile and productive” says Andreas Schmittfull who is the mind of Phantom Winter. Six chapters who tell a story of a being who lives in a world which keeps most people paralysed.
Emotional brutalness combined with a gigantic and back-breaking mix of low-tuned atmosphere and riff-orientated brutality in symbiosis with pounding and sometimes cyclic drumming which takes the audience further into a maelstrom. Just now this gloominess reflects in the arcane and mysterious design by Hummel Grafik who is once again responsible for the artwork.

THE NEW SPRING "Wholly Wholly":
The New Spring is the moniker of Copenhagen-based songwriter Bastian Kallesøe. For six years he has been crafting elegant acoustic folk music combining picturesque lyrics, a unique style of guitar fingerpicking, and above all, timeless melodies.
The self-titled debut, which was recorded mainly in Bastian’s own apartment, was released in the spring of 2011 and was a poetical study of love in its broadest sense. The widely acclaimed second album, Secret Armor, was released the following year and here producer Aske Zidore (Oh No Ono, Choir of Young Believers) added a more complex layer of effects, piano and percussion that made Secret Armor stand out as a truly experimental folk album.
2014 was the year of The New Spring’s third album in just three years. The album, Late Bloomer, was recorded in just two days and in the recording process Kallesøe and producer Jens Ramon Murga Meinert (Figurines) strayed from using digital effects. The result was a fresh, more traditionally oriented sound that returned the songwriting to its most naked form - a sound described by GoldFlakePaint as “a hand through the surface of water, the sound of a day taking shape.”
Early 2018 will see Bastian Kallesøe return with his most ambitious effort yet. The album Wholly Wholly, once again produced by Jens Ramon Murga Meinert, has been two years in the making and for the first time ever The New Spring materializes into a full band. The album is an ever changing landscape that combines an unsettled spirituality with elements from minimalist classical music as well as 70’s folk rock - and of course the trademark songwriting that is always at the core of The New Spring.
