Einseinseins Zwei is the heartbeat of digital globalization. A current that opposes the ever-same. The opium for the society whose life is constructed from ones and zeros. Einseinseins have discovered their voices on this album. They use pop as an instrument of critical reflection. The album awakens an obsessive desire of the one, the two. They are never too shy to use big melodies thrown energetically into the world. The album moves outside the concept of genres. A concept that is deliberately misunderstood by Einseinseins. No two pieces are alike and yet everything is one. "Graf Zahl" introduces the journey. A feeling of departure arises. "Plastic Love" brings "The Model" into the 21st century. "Gasetagenheizung" and "Regit Etarak" are tracks that challenge. Passive listening becomes impossible. "Nachtigall" and "Nur Fuchs" release tension and catch the listener like sirens. At the end there is a beginning again.

After the destruction of their planet ĬİĨ by exploitation of resources and wars, Einseinseins found shelter on the blue planet earth after a long journey. There they lived covertly underground for years, adopting the appearance, customs and peculiarities of the earthlings. However, they soon discovered that countless disturbances - caused by human activity - threaten the balance of the earth. Therefore, Einseinseins use the medium of music to broadcast their cosmic sounds to the far reaches of the universe and make contact with possible survivors of their home planet. Their coded sound waves serve to change human behavior in order to avert an impending apocalypse. They bring peace!

ENDLESS DIVE "A Brief History Of A Kind Human":

Endless Dive is an instrumental band based in Brussels and Tournai. Influenced by post-rock, electronic and hardcore music, the band delivers a dynamic sound, oscillating between ambient and punchy riffs taking you on a musical journey.

After releasing a self-titled EP and a full LP Falltime, the band toured in France, Germany, Czech Republic or Slovakia ; and played in venues like Botanique and Dour Festival. After two years of living in a pandemic, Endless Dive is back with a new album called A Brief History Of A Kind Human, which is the result of the band’s instrumental music and Arthur Sente’s poetry and photography.
This new album is the result of a long wait, opportunities, ups and downs
and more than two years of work. It’s also the combination of our music and the work of friend Arthur Sente who wrote poetry and gave the band some of his personal photos for this record. Through the space left for interpretation and suggestion in our music, we gave him an opportunity to express himself and add a deeper meaning to this project.

Endless Dive went into the writing process in 2019 with the intention of putting more of themselves into it. They left more space for improvisation, creativity and tried to make things less predictable. The quartet also decided to explore and experiment with adding synths, drum machines and electronic layers. The band had the chance to do some pre-production work with French producer Amaury Sauvé. He provided useful tips on how to visualize the music, have a better understanding of the creative process and manage the intensity in the songs. Endless Dive really grew a lot from this experience, this album would not have been the same without him. Shortly after, COVID- 19 outbreak happened and forced the band to cancel the record session with Amaury. Unable to cross the border, they had to find another studio and endured several other cancellations in the months that followed. Despite the uncertainty and frustration, this provided the time to go deeper into our songs and start learning more about music production and theory.

Finally, in February 2021, almost a year later, Endless Dive went to record and mix the songs with friend Louis Goessens at the Attic Home Studio, a place where they’ve always felt at home. The closeness and trust between the band and Louis made it possible to carry out important work on the arrangements and the mix, probably the most complex since the beginning of the band. This project is also the result of multiple collaborations with the creative forces from around the band's area in Belgium. It’s a way to put some amazing talents under the spotlight and thank them for their incredible work and dedication. More than ever, new album A Brief History Of A Kind Human is about sharing a slice of our life, a taste of how we feel, a brief history of some kind humans...

ORSAK:OSLO "Skimmer/ Vemod":

Orsak:Oslo is a melancholic brew of kraut, psych and post-rock with gentle fuzz-filled melodies and a noticeable nordic atmosphere.

On the bands new release Skimmer/ Vemod they investigate contrasting inspirational backdrops and methods.

Skimmer borrows atmospheres from dank forrest floors and midland flora, influences which are not commonly referred to by Orsak:Oslo. The songs’ fundamentals were written and recorded as a live jam, which has become sort of the band’s hallmark by now.

Vemod stands in stark opposition, as by time of creation the pandemic had the band separated in different countries. This called for some experimental songwriting and recording techniques, and Orsak:Oslo had to venture beyond their standard modus operandi. On the familiar side, the band cites Vemod’s influences as “nautical”, something that has also been of inspiration to some of their earlier work.

Orsak:Oslo was founded by Christian from Gothenburg, Sweden and Øyvind from Olso, Norway. On the 1st of July 2014 they released their first EP Torggata Sway, named after the street where they had shared the flat. Soon after, they got a hold on Bjarne (keys then, now guitar). The final piece fit in 2016, when Peter joined on bass.

Now, less than 7 years after Torggata Sway, Orsak:Oslo has released 11 digital Eps. The last two, Skimmer and Vemod, will be released on limited edition vinyl and other formats via Kapitän Platte.

MONA KAZU "Steel Your Nerves":

Between sonic tension and mystical wave, the universe of Mona Kazu draws its inspiration from noise, jazz, indie rock, coldwave... with a multi-faceted inhabited voice as the guiding thread.

The 3rd album Steel Your Nerves will be released in the fall of 2021 on the historical label Falls Avalanche Records for France, Urgence Disk Records for Switzerland, and Atypeek Music for digital.

For its recording, Priscille (vocals, keyboard) and Franck (guitar, mandolin, programming) have invited the drummer Régïs Boulard (Laetitia Sheriff/Trunks, Sons of the Desert, Olivier Mellano,...), with his inventive play and a great musicality. This new formula has led them in a direction that they wished to take for a long time: more direct compositions, privileging the sensitivity of the play and the emotion.
The band is inspired by and surrounds itself with visual artists, such as Kathy Aponi, a painter who draws its matter in the symbolism and the raw art; Parvati, street artist, painter, drawer and illustrator of dreamlike style; or Luc Bernad and his rhythmic lines by music and dance.

Mona Kazu also makes musical performances in different forms. For several years, the band has accompanied Les Médusés of Gorgopolitis both in the sound ambiance of the installation as well as for a musical reading around their universe of anticipation. In 2019, following a commission from the International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy, Mona Kazu creates a cine-concert around short films of Maya Deren, director in the 1940s. In 2020-21, Mona Kazu participates in a new creation Soliloque d'une déclassée mixing theater and live music with the Cie À l'envers de soi.

CLOSURE IN MOSCOW "The Penance And The Patience":

Australian progressive rock group Closure In Moscow have announced they will release their debut The Penance and The Patience on vinyl for the first time ever.

Closure In Moscow have received critical acclaim internationally for their stellar live performance and avant-garde sound in the decade plus since they formed in Melbourne, Australia. After their debut The Penance And The Patience thrust them onto the international stage in 2008, their full-length First Temple saw the band breaking in the United States upon its release in 2009 and has since seen them become regarded as one of the most beloved acts in the world of progressive rock.

The young group experienced the heady success of a band on the rise, relocating to the United States to pursue successive gruelling tours across the continent, including a coveted spot on the Warped Tour, before finally returning home to Australia for festival appearance and headline tours at the tail end of a massive twelve months. With little respite, what followed was further heavy touring – across Australia, the UK and Europe, Japan, over two years in support of a record that just kept growing.

The band’s original drummer Beau McKee reflected on this time: "When the The Penance And The Patience dropped in Australia, we started getting a lot of tour offers, particularly for U.S. supports in Australia and overseas. Although we had a strong EP under our belt, we realized that seasoned musicians who have done a lot of touring know how to bring a real live show. This certainly kicked us up the ass and we started really honing our live show by time the album was ready to be made. The Penance… really helped set up our path forward."

Guitarist Manny Zenneli adds: "Our lives changed overnight. Every day was a new crowd/new city or country, it was so crazy. I’m really grateful for the entire experience, it was a really special time in the bands progression and we grew a lot from it, both as musicians and people."

Still, progress has been made…and with the as-yet untitled new album on the way in 2022, now is a perfect time to introduce yourself to the world of Closure In Moscow – with their jaw-dropping musicianship and exuding a positivity like no other, by their own admission, this band is here to melt faces and take you to the moon.

Kosmodome, a rising star in the firmament of Norway's flourishing prog music scene, will blow minds with their psychedelic sounding, 60's atmosphere-colored rock.

The brainchild of the two Sandvik brothers, Sturle on guitars and vocals, and Severin on drums, Kosmodome’s music is riff-based rock with stoner elements all of which are placed within a progressive universe to great effect. Together, the duo bridges the gap between the explosive drive of bands such as Mastodon with melodic magic and retrospective, clever songwriting.

The band has this to say about the album: "We aim to draw listeners into the Kosmodome, in all its diversity. Throughout the album, we dwell in the melodic and the groovy; a baseline for deep dives into massive, heavy soundscapes and spacy atmospheres. Instrumental sections are central to our musical storytelling, further supported by our lyrical themes; introspection and wonder, ruminations on the human condition, and frustrations toward contemporary society."

We welcome you to enter the Kosmodome!

PIRATE "s/t":

Sydney-based avant-garde rock combo Pirate have announced they will re- release their 2008 self-titled debut EP as part of the Bird’s Robe Records 10th anniversary series.

The band are perhaps known by some fans these days for being the previous group of acclaimed drummer Tim Adderley, the long-time sticksman for post-rock heavyweights sleepmakeswaves.

But their legacy as one of the principal groups of The Bird’s Robe Collective and Bird’s Robe Records label is important to appreciate.

The band released three records, Demo (2007), Pirate (2008) and Left of Mind (2009) and toured regularly up and down the east coast of Australia during these years, almost exclusively as part of Bird’s Robe promoted tours and events.

Pirate’s eclectic heavy technical groove with a jazz-like touch quickly drew critical accolades across the globe and saw them tour with acts as diverse as Closure in Moscow, Twelve Foot Ninja, FloatingMe, The Crooked Fiddle Band and sleepmakeswaves. Inspired as much by the technical prog of King Crimson and The Mars Volta as they are by jazz visionaries Miles Davis and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, the band continues to impress and inspire with their uniquely progressive material.

It’s live on stage where the band shone brightest, however, blending fiercely constructed riffs with epic improvisational skills and a determined focus on experimentation: “Ever seen a man scream through the bell of his saxophone amplified by 5000 watts? This is a band you must see.

Director of Bird’s Robe Mike Solo reflects on the band and their contribution to the Australian music scene: "Pirate are a band very dear to my heart. I discovered them playing at the now defunct Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills, which back in 2007 was a hotbed of alternative and progressive music. They put on a fiery and technically brilliant show that was equal parts King Crimson and The Mars Volta and I quickly jumped at the chance to book shows for them around Sydney.

They were the first band I started officially managing and became mainstays of the Bird’s Robe circuit. Everyone wanted to play with Pirate, everyone who saw them walked away impressed and if ever I wanted to convince someone of the quality of the Sydney prog music scene, I would just show them Pirate and that was enough.

It wasn’t always easy – the band were always the same four lovely and personable guys, always supporting other artists and contributing their talents to collaborate, but they had to deal with injuries, months apart whilst various members relocated or travelled (or toured with sleepmakeswaves) and all kinds of various things that life throws at you. I always wanted more for them and in hindsight I’m so glad they gave us as much as they did and achieved what they did – we have 3 amazing records to map their evolution, the memories (and videos) of some truly incredible live shows and now, another opportunity to share their music with the world.
