PALILA "Tomorrow I'll Come Visit You And Return Your Records":
Palila’s second EP comes combined with their debut EP which was sold out shortly after its release in late summer 2019. This new double-EP titled Tomorrow I'll Come Visit You And Return Your Records offers a wide range of sounds: From calm grooves and Neil Young-references through lighthearted grunge patterns up to their post-punk airiness which reminds one of Built To Spill, Dinosaur Jr. or Wilco.
Tomorrow I'll Come Visit You And Return Your Records was recorded in the band’s rehearsal room as well as in various living rooms, mixed and mastered by Roland Wiegner at Tonmeisterei Oldenburg (Long Distance Calling, Marathonmann etc.).
The music video of Electricity was a collaboration with Arne Kulf (Akupower). Matthias Schwettmann comments the video: "This song is about equality, really. We all have the same origins and the same destinations. What we do or do not in between, is what makes the difference. We took this topic really seriously and locked ourselves up in a library for weeks to study the old masters of philosophy. In the end we came up with this video."
Since January, 2020, Jonas Czok handles the drums. In October 2020 the Double-EP will be released as a vinyl LP on boutique label Kapitän Platte.

SENS DEP "Lush Desolation":
SENS DEP (Sensory Deprivation) is a band that creates textured noise and sonic ruminations that explore ideas of control, restraint and abandon in equal measure.
Formed in 2009 by Andrew and Ben Yardley as a side project for Melbourne band Laura, the group's long-awaited debut album Lush Desolation will be released on the 30th of November 2020.
SENS DEP initially created sounds to accompany visual media, including installations and a film commission but this slowly took on the form of a live band Retail Fireworks and saw the group add Guy Roche and Pat Fitton to their lineup. With a sound that shifted between effects-laden guitar drones, noise, and electronic beats, Retail played a string of specially curated live shows around Melbourne.
In recent years the group has returned to its original incarnation SENS DEP, with an emphasis on recording. Consisting of Andrew Yardley (guitar/bass/vox/production), Ben Yardley (guitars/field recordings/production), and Caz Gannell (electric and acoustic cello/general noise).
Recorded over four years in a tin shed, an alpine hunter's hut, concrete inter zones, and the Tasmanian wilderness, Lush Desolation is as much a product of the environments it was recorded in as the ideas themselves. A sonic tension underpins much of the album, a delicate balance that isn't always resolved. Lyrically the record dissects the relationship between humans and our environment and how that dynamic continues to change, often beyond recognition. It's a challenging and transformative album, intimate and epic, a paean to the years of work that went into it.

A SHAPE "Iron Pourpre":
A Shape is a noise rock band from Paris and Toulouse, France. Why you should listen to noise rock? What is noise rock? Good questions and finally there is no answer. I can only say that i am constantly looking for originality, marginality and moreover creativity. A Shape has totally succeeded to wound me with their ingenuity or their pure inventiveness. Usually people say that noise rock is nonsense. Me when i play like this, it never sounds as much structured and elaborated as noise rock, because noise rock is an organized chaos. What can happen when you mix a bit of Heliogabale (Sasha Andres), a bit of noise and some young wolves with sharp teeth then you have A Shape with our new album Iron Pourpre. Nothing better to derail the machine than to be surrounded by Antoine Cocquelet & A Shape for the mix, and the mastering by Nicolas Dick (Kill The Thill).

HINT "Rarities Of Two Centuries":
Hint started in 1993. Being much influenced by noise as well as experimental and ambient/drone music, they stood out of the crowd thanks to their unique sound: a lush and highly energetic combination of layered industrial rythms with massive and dissonant walls of guitar, howling voices and saxophones, frightening pads, travelling in ethereal and melodic ambiances. Three albums (100% White Puzzle, Dys-, Wu-Wei), a remixes’ LP, some split-EPs and collaborations (Unsane, Portobello Bones, Bästard, Daunik Lazro) created a well-off discographic run and sound experiments, within a large artistic bracket of movies-inspired ambiances and noisy violence. On stage, the two multi-instrumentists – guitar, sax, trumpet, flute for Arnaud Fournier (Dead Hippies, La Phaze) / guitar, bass, sampler and voice for Hervé Thomas (Fragile, Urawa and Dead Hollywood Stars) – are playing in front of video projections which emphasise the band’s musical emotion. From 1994 to 1999, Hint paced up and crossed the european roads with bands like Unsane, The Young Gods, Pitchshifter, Bästard, Scorn, Fugazi, Chokebore, Mono, Les Thugs, Lab°, Portobello Bones, Alboth ! or Prohibition. From 2000 to 2005, the band made about twenty rare appearances for particulary outstanding shows, before joining Ez3kiel on stage for the “Collision Tour”, astonishing live set of violent yet melancholic walls of sound. Recording of these shows were released in 2009.
Now in September 2020 Hint will Rarities Of Two Centuries, a vinyl and digital compilation of rare and unreleased tracks with collaborations such as the Portobello Bones, Gran Kino and The Young Gods. A few live dates will be coming up too.

CNJR "I Can See The Church Burning Through The Binoculars":
Conjure (kon-jer) (verb): to affect or influence by or as if by invocation or spell.
CNJR (kon-jer) (verb): Weaving the melancholic struggle in our discontent dreams.
Experimental music producer CNJR returns with a new full-length release. I Can See The Church Burning Through The Binoculars sees CNJR depart from a deeper synth-driven electronic feel to embrace an indie aesthetic throughout the album. A stronger presence of guitars, acoustic drums, and vocals can be heard interwoven with retro synthesizers and electronic elements recognized from prior releases. A starkly dark album, I Can See The Church Burning Through The Binoculars explores themes of repression, emotional turmoil, and identity.
The first single Burning is a departure from the sound of CNJR’s prior album, it is an indie-driven song focused around a psychedelic keyboard line, acoustic drums, and haunting vocals. Hinting at a new sound coming on the full release, Burning offers a glimpse of the melancholic and dark aesthetic typical to CNJR, yet through a different lens, focused on a more traditional song structure and vocal-driven sound.
The second single The Destroyers is cinematic, intense, moody, and capturing a pressurized feeling of hopelessness. Weaving heavy guitars with strings, the song is able to hold a tension throughout it that is introspective and contemplative. The title hints at a timely exploration of a largely invisible and all-encompassing enemy, plaguing the world around us.
I Can See The Church Burning Through The Binoculars will be out in October 9th on Future Archive Recordings, an artist-run label founded by CNJR, Sun Glitters, Arms and Sleepers, and Little People.

BRUDINI "From Darkness, Light":
Album Debut from Experimental London Crooner Brudini, armed with guts, a piano, guitars, analogue synths and a jazz rhythm section.
From Darkness, Lightis a poetic odyssey unlike anything you’ve heard. It is the story of an emotional and spiritual journey. During the five years of its creation, Thai-Norwegian londoner Erik Brudvik became a father, his Soho book shop first prospered, then went bankrupt, his longterm relationship ended, and he abandoned his career in finance. But from these changes, he finally found his creative voice as Brudini.
Coined by Louder Than War as “an indescribable talent”, Brudini has drawn praise from NYC punk legend Danny Fields (Iggy Pop, Jim Morrison, The Ramones) and received continued radio support from BBC6, RadioX, and been featured on Radio 2’s Frank Skinner. His live performances include collaborations with Lulu Gainsbourg, appearances at Tate Britain and a sold-out Soho alt-cabaret with LGBTQ-pioneer Lanah P and Erasure´s Andy Bell.
Soul searching and profound, Brudini’s conceptual LP debut From Darkness, Light weaves an abstract, wandering tale through feelings of loss and longing, anger, lust and despair, towards cosmic consolation. The beatific qualities of his songwriting and lyrics fuse seamlessly with poems by Californian writer Chip Martin, at two generations his senior. The narrative comes alive through a visceral soundscape of creaky pianos, analogue synths, syncopated jazz rhythms and the occasional jarring distorted guitar.
Self-recorded and self-produced, Brudini’s debut is an invitation to slow listening, providing a bare and unusual perspective of the blood and guts of a grown-age transition.

FOOKS NIHIL "s/t":
Fooks Nihil - the band that suddenly came from out of nowhere and that you surely wouldn't expect to be from Hessen, Germany. Already, they have spread their West Coast sound all across their homecountry to establish a small fan base of connoisseurs. Originally they started playing their own songs acousticly and created their tapestry of sound with the harmony singing of their three voices. After a while, as the venues grew bigger the switch to electricly amplified instruments and a larger drum set seemed very coherent.
The influence of bands like Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young, The Byrds and all the rest of Beat Music, Americana, Folk and also Rock in their whole plenty of creativity became increasingly important. The band manages very well to take the essence out of those influences, to create a very unique and powerful mixture of beatiful songs and crispy energetic tunes that sort of shiver sideways of what you're used to hear. What you get is a throwback to a peacful summer festival in the late 60's in San Francisco at the peak of what you call music culture.
It took another while to record the band's self-titled debut album and a small record label that has been happy to witness their live performances several times before, and is now very excited to release this maidenly work. The self-titled album was recorded by long-term friend and sound engineer Christoph Müller (Suzan Köcher, Blackberries, Okta Logue) at Lotte Linderberg Studios, FFM/Germany. Mixing and mastering of the album was handled by Glenn Brigmann in L.A., California (Triptides). So the debut album is the result of an American-German-friendship. It connects two worlds and is just the perfect record to make people listen, be together, talk, drink and enjoy it's beauty.

NEIGE MORTE "IIII":
Neige Morte are an obscure entity from Lyon, France and Göteborg, Sweden, creating an icy and oppressive hypothermic musical blast. Ponderous and bizarre passages of atmospheric sound crack and give way plunging the listener into frozen riffs as they are carried off by the post-Black Metal current tearing through the heart of Neige Morte.
Becoming a trio with the arrival of a singer, Neige Morte released a first untitled album in 2010 on Aurora Borealis and then participated in a split vinyl with The Austrasian Goat (released in 2011 on MusicFearSatan). Two discs whose destructive simplicity and archaic sound go perfectly with this notion of pure hatred that the band wish to display.
Bicephaale, Neige Morte’s second album, was published on the Belgian label Consouling Sounds. More than ever, Neige Morte’s music reeks of graveyard & putrescence, rejecting any idea of compromise, thus becoming a deviant machine of flesh and blood.
In 2016, Neige Morte loses its singer, recruits a bassist, and passes the growls to the guitarist. At the end of their last Russian tour, the new trio records TRINNNT. This third album explores the same anxieties with a more death metal approach, assuming hypnotic and repetitive ideas that ultimately lead to total annihilation.
Now, the 4th album called IIII was recorded in France and explores similar directions and depths the band developed on TRINNNT. On IIII Neige Morte takes it even further and dive into the abyss of what became now their own sound and recipe: a unique, dissonant, unstable and unpredictable death metal. IIII is available from Division Records and Atypeek Music.

Automatism is an instrumental rock band from Stockholm, Sweden.
The music of Automatism is based on psych rock, with some added herbal, progressive and modal jazz elements. Immersion is the third full length release for the label. On the album the band works together with the outstanding musicians Per Wiberg on keyboards (Kamchatka, King Hobo, ex-Opeth), Jesper Skarin on drums (Vak, Gösta Berlings Saga) and Jakob Sjöholm on guitar (Träd, Gräs och Stenar).

WATERTANK "Silent Running":
After years of partial activity through constant line-up moves, Watertank put the final touch to their 3rd record in the summer of 2019. Titled Silent Running, the album is out September 4, 2020, and refers to the idea of evolving behind the scenes, working unexposed. Romain Donet from the punk hardcore band Chaviré joined Watertank during the recording process, and Willy Étié (Weak) is now performing bass duties for (let’s hope) many shows to come.
Because of those personnel changes, this new batch of songs is sounding more rockish than before, but still loud. Watertank is extending their post-hardcore roots with a blend of influences from alternative rock to shoegaze. Lyrically openhearted yet a bit cryptic, a theme emerges throughout the record, inspired by the front cover glass-tardigrade survival features and resilience, but still about to implode, fitting the band ultimately.
