POSTCOITUM "News From Nowhere":

Postcoïtum is the project of Damien Ravnich and Bertrand Wolff, built around the marriage of instrumental and electronic music and using hybrid influences around idm textures, indie rock rhythms and industrial sounds. The duo traps us with a set of sound curiosities before swallowing us up by the hypnotic force of a melodic-rhythmic narrative system. The suggested universe then gives way to the possible by taking us towards the transcendental, the tragic, the incongruous, with a vast and eclectic soundscape.

KASCHALOT "Zenith":

Kaschalot started as a one-man-solo-project in 2014 with the release of an eponymous debut EP. In 2016, the solo-project became a four-piece band. In 2018, Kaschalot released their first full-length album Whale Songs, which earned the band a substantial following in Estonia and abroad. Despite the global challenges faced during 2020,the band still held a number of sold out concerts, highlighting just how far they had come in just a few years.

Mixing instrumental rock with progressive, post-, metal, and screamo supported by a foundation of major chords that makes that music sound light, cheerful and memorable, Kaschalot's style cannot be defined by any one genre.

Kaschalot began writing Zenith at the start of 2020 and finished exactly on the brightest day of the year - the summer solstice. Oddly enough, mixing and mastering finished exactly on the winter solstice. Wanting to celebrate this balance and mark the midpoint of the creative process the band named their new record Zenith. With this release, the band is out to prove that they are ready to explore and experiment with the plethora of genres that inspire them as musicians, perhaps creating their own on the way.

Mixed by Pjotr Latosev and mastered by Lauri Liivak, the album will be released by French label Atypeek Music and Australian Stargazed Records.

GROSSO GADGETTO & PINK ROOM feat. ODDATEEE

Woke is a collaborative work between Grosso Gadgetto, Pink Room & Oddateee.

This 5 track EP started as a one hour improvisation session between Pink Room & Grosso Gadgetto somewhere between the 1st and the 2nd French confinement. On one side, Pink Room with her modular synth, and on the other, Grosso Gadgetto with a virtual synthesizer. This resulted in a drone-ish session, that has then been chopped into the 5 tracks foundations around which the artists constructed beats, bass, synths, and even flute melodies. All this with a grimy spirit and sound.

What was missing for it to sound like old school experimental Hip-Hop/ Noise from the 00's? Yeah, that's the moment Oddateee joined the project to lay his vocals on 3 of the tracks. All this resulting in a noisy and industrial Rap EP in which you'll for sure recognize a Def Jux, Dälek, Anticon, Techno Animal vibe. Consume without any moderation.

Lotus Titan breaks the codes of Rock by borrowing from improvised, progressive and urban music. Carried by an intense poetic art and a powerful sound, the quartet explores new sound territories, ventures into daring musical forms and accompanies the listener-rice through a narrative.

The writing, exclusively in French, evokes a life journey, a spiritual impulse. Words are deployed as sound matter. The confrontation between text and music creates images, sensations and atmospheres specific to each title. In this setting, David Lynch has an appointment with Meshuggah while Pink Floyd, Rimbaud and Patti Smith count the stars...

On Odyssées the quartet ventures into an introspective journey, sometimes painful, sometimes joyful, trying but resolutely optimistic. In spite of the fall and the deluge, to fight against the winds or how, like the lotus, to be born from the mud to become a bright flower...

MOOP "Ostara":

MOOP was born in 2013. The quartet (two baritone sax, guitar and drums) self-produced its first album in 2017: an 8-track record blending multiple influences from jazz to heavy rock via improvised music. The album had an echo in various countries and was eventually distributed by the German independent label, Tonzonen Records. Since then, the band has sharpened its sound.

Now a trio, MOOP recorded its second album in 2020: Ostara (a Pagan spring celebration). Erwin Toul is on drums, William Brandy on baritone sax and Julien Coupet on guitar. This second album features 4 original tracks. It’s a big step aside from the clear and clean sound of the previous album. The three players elaborate more on textures and soundscapes. The album contrasts moments of light brightness with wanderings into darker territories. The three musicians share the mutual taste for a colorful sound, juxtaposed with dynamic ruptures and breaks.

MOAAN EXIS "Necessary Violences":

Duo machines/vox + drum oriented industrial, techno, hardcore, cinematic atmosphere, tribal or experimental sounds. Since its beginnings, Moaan Exis explores genres, integrates them, in fact something that someone can not define so easily.

A sound object burning melancholy with the violence of a catastrophe. There is little respite, yet so much urgency on Necessary Violences. This is manifested by a powerful beat, confusing rhythms, strange sounds, a brutal distortion or not soothing soundscapes.

Because the motor is emotion. Ultimately, Moaan Exis desires to sublimate sound into fury, rage and sweat.

VALSE NOOT "Utter Contempt":

Valse Noot is a free noise rock quartet from Brest, France. Valse Noot doesn't just rip the face off, it also attacks the brain, because the disturbed rock of this band, somewhere between Fugazi's Zappa and Lizard's Jesus, sounds as if the Joker has gone into "free rock noise".
Madness reigns everywhere on new album Utter Contempt, and if the sound is dense and the compositions set like precision bombs, it does not crush the poisonous atmosphere and the carnivalesque dinguery of their lunatic asylum where possessed voices, drill-drilling guitars, sanding recorders, and a whole arsenal of noise ultra blunt, for a post-hardcore with experimental accents, structures as rigorous as twisted, with devastating power.
The result: a twisted brain, in the clockwise direction of real watches, the ones that don't tell the time at all but ring out when everyone has forgotten how urgent it is to wake up.

ECHOPLAIN "Polaroid Malibu"

Echoplain is a logical continuation. Emmanuel Bœuf (Emboe, A Shape, Sons of Frida, Dernière Transmission), Clément Matheron (Sons of Frida) and Stéphane Vion (Velocross, La Diagonale du Fou) have known each other for a long time. Logical by their musical affinities and their common desire to create sound. Born in 2018, their mix of post punk and abrasive noise, somewhere between muffled vocals, spoken words and shoutings, brings them after a few shows to record a first self-titled EP (2019). The debut album Polaroid Malibu was recorded by Julien Bous (Postghost Recording) and mixed and mastered by Julien Camarena (Unison), illustrated by the paintings and drawings by Sasha Andrès (Heliogabale, A Shape) and the artwork of Benjamin Vergès (La Diagonale du Fou, Torquem).

HINT "Rarities Of Two Centuries Vol. 2":

Hint started in 1993. Being much influenced by noise as well as experimental and ambient/drone music, they stood out of the crowd thanks to their unique sound: a lush and highly energetic combination of layered industrial rythms with massive and dissonant walls of guitar, howling voices and saxophones, frightening pads, travelling in ethereal and melodic ambiances.
Three albums (100% White Puzzle, Dys-, Wu-Wei), a remixes’ LP, some split-EPs and collaborations (Unsane, Portobello Bones, Bästard, Daunik Lazro) created a well-off discographic run and sound experiments, within a large artistic bracket of movies-inspired ambiances and noisy violence. On stage, the two multi-instrumentists – guitar, sax, trumpet, flute for Arnaud Fournier (Dead Hippies, La Phaze) / guitar, bass, sampler and voice for Hervé Thomas (Fragile, Urawa and Dead Hollywood Stars) – are playing in front of video projections which emphasise the band’s musical emotion. From 1994 to 1999, Hint paced up and crossed the european roads with bands like Unsane, The Young Gods, Pitchshifter, Bästard, Scorn, Fugazi, Chokebore, Mono, Les Thugs, Lab°, Portobello Bones, Alboth ! or Prohibition. From 2000 to 2005, the band made about twenty rare appearances for particulary outstanding shows, before joining Ez3kiel on stage for the “Collision Tour”, astonishing live set of violent yet melancholic walls of sound. Recording of these shows were released in 2009.
Now after Hint released in September 2020 a first volume of Rarities Of Two Centuries, a Vol. 2 will released, featuring a compilation of rare and unreleased tracks.
